LAST YEAR Class Of 2023 RBs Illinois Class Grade: C-
What a year a difference makes for the running back class in the great state of Illinois. This upcoming senior class has a lot of multi-purpose talent that is just remarkable. Jaydon Wright, Tony Phillips, Dominik Ball, Darion Dupree, Ethan Middleton lead this class with remarkable talent. Derrick Stewart, Deon Davis, Jordyn Beverly, Matt Lawson will be summer risers on the recruiting trail. Derrick Stewart is a man among boys with his speed and strength and ability to run through defenders. Jordyn Beverly is a southern Illinois region stud that you need to know about. Matt Lawson is a hybrid athlete that can kill defenses with his legs and hands. Mr. Lawson has been making a name for himself these past 2 years.
5 For Sure Runnings Back Recruits:
Jaydon Wright Bishop McNamara - Great vision is what make FBS coaches salivate to get this young playmaker.
Tony Phillips Kankakee- Firecracker in the backfield, with tremendous burst that can take it to the endzone when the hole is open.
Dominik Ball Palatine- Another speed demon, that will break ankles and already is top national recruit. Dominik being undersized is vital tool in his game.
Ethan Middleton Kenwood- High on-field IQ, and silky-smooth moves is what make Ethan one of a kind in this class.
Darion Dupree Mount Carmel- Great center to low balance when takes on defenders. Follows a line of historic lineage Caravan RBs

Supreme Muhammed Winnebago- Supreme lit up stats sheets last Fall and proved he is elite RB. Needs his first big offer.
Javius Catlin Rockford East- Athletic beast that people need to start paying attention too. Javius is the real deal and will be putting up big numbers next season.
Noah Battle Downers Grove North- Multi-sport stud gets the job done. One of the top recruits in the DuPage County area.

LAST YEAR Class Of 2023 Illinois Athletes Class Grade: A+
This year's class of athletes has somewhat suffered due recruits this year being a lot of single position players unlike last year. 2024 Class features some heavy hitters though that will immediately contribute to the college game. Tysean Griffin, Julius Ellens, Julian Johnson headline these group of athletes. Alot of defenders that can split time on the line and on the linebacker spot. Stil a lot of hybrid RB/WR players in this class.
TOP ATHLETE RECRUITS:
Tysean Griffin Morgan Park- Tysean has been that guy since his freshmen season. Top national recruit that could make an immediate impact his first college season.
Julius Ellens Glenbard West- Scary recruit that we haven't seen best out of yet. His growth has just been remarkable for his career.
Julian Johnson Waubonsie Valley- Julian has been that proven recruit just like his brother and continuing to make name for himself. His size and ability to make plays on a constant basis is what makes him special.
2 Recruits Not To Sleep On:
Charlie Whelpey Batavia- Mr. Whelpey blew up this fall and continues to impress college coaches. Charlie will be a huge target this summer for college programs.
Nathaniel Fundator Hinsdale South- One of the top recruits in the projected growth chart. His sophomore film doesn't even compare to his junior film. One of my big surprise recruits out of the Chicagoland Area.

4 For Sure Illinois Tight End Recruits
Christian Bentancur Marian Central Catholic- Clemson commit that has been a pure athletic specimen on the field.
Eric Karner ICCP- Top talent in the Nation. Disciplined, well executed blocks are what make him one of a kind. Improved pass catching ability what make this kid's growth so special.
Patrick Schaller Glenbrook North- Northwestern commit, that has been impressing people with his multiple tools as tight end.
Grant Stec Jacobs- Grant has impressed for three seasons and continues to grow. Sky is the limit for Mr. Stec, and we still haven't seen the best.
1 Tight End You Shouldn't Sleep On
Charile Mullen Ottawa Marquette- One of the most slept on recruits in Illinois. Charlie has been a proven commodity for the Crusaders. Brother was high prized recruit for Louisville.

Wow, just wow the amount of talent that WR group has this year is just plan amazing. This class is one of the best out of all the Illinois classes for 2024. Imarion, Cam, Durr Jr., Kyan, Jesse, Antonio, Carson, Mike just superb talent at the WR spot and still growing which is scary. Luke Williams from Naperville North is a star and defensive killer. Gary Rutherford out of Peoria is one of the top WRs that needs to be talked about more. Aric Johnson from Kaneland that could explode onto the scene this summer camp season. Cade Seraukis is nothing but a secondary killer and big play 3rd down WR that you must need to know about. Complete variation of WRs from this class to last class.
3 Most Slept On WRs From 2024 Are:
JT Jeter Macomb- Put up big numbers from his junior season. Continues to impress coaches with his route running.
Aric Johnson Kaneland- Kaneland's big playmaker has been one of the more big-time playmakers in the region.
David Coffey De La Salle- Soft hands, and ability to stretch secondaries that will kill defenses. De La Salle got some playmakers for this season.
2 WRs That You Need To Know For The Summer From 2024 Are:
Darrion Gilliam Mount Carmel - Darrion will continue to be a top a recruit on the rise. Not just his athleticism but ability to break tackles and fight for the pass.
Karmelo Abernathy Murphysboro- Karmelo is one of the biggest kept secretes in Illinois. He has chance to hit the national spotlight this summer.
