Skyler Yancy Mahomet-Seymour LB/ATH Class of 2021 5'11 195

Skyler Yancy how was your 2019 season?

My 2019 season was pretty wierd as we were only allowed to play one side of the ball. I did take that opportunity to improve on my defensive game and get all conference linebacker however and ending the season off with a bang.

How has your offseason been so far?

The off-season has been pretty weird with the virus and us not having a season yet, but nonetheless the competition doesn't stop so my work won't. I was told I will play both sides this year like I used to and I have been working hard on mastering the playbook both ways and ensuring that when the season comes, ill be ready to dominate on both sides of the ball. What does football mean to you? Football is a brotherhood that tests the team and individuals skills to the limit and I cherish that bond that I have with my team. Whether winning or losing I appreciate the opportunity to play ball and I will never take it for granite. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I have been working a lot on my strength and quickness as well as carrying and footwork with the ball, and my vision of the football field. I've been working a great deal on my mental game in the sport and learning the playbook so I'd be 100% prepared for the season What should college coaches know about you? I am willing to put in the work and I believe thats something that can't be taught. I am a very good team player and will perform great by myself still, and prove myself many times to come. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My ability to lock in and play hard from the snap, to the whistle with great strength is one of many good traits I feel. Another is my ability to keep the team hype and bring positive energy no matter what to the field with me. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? To prove myself both on offense, and on defense. I want to get All Conference for both and I can't wait to achieve that with my brothers by my side.
