West Suburban Conference 2022 Preview With Coach Big Pete : Morton Surprise
Welcome back IHSA Football!!! As is every June conference previews and again please remember predictions and previews mean crap. High school football is the greatest thing because of pure parity. What is up last year could be down this year and what is down last year can up this year. ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN IHSA FOOTBALL. Last year 2021 was pure anarchy and no one knew what was going on. Also, unlike some prep writers who take credit and copy and paste the coach's work off a crap team questionnaire I do my own work. WEST SURBURBAN CONFERENCE 2022 Season Preview
Glenbard West, Hinsdale Central are both my top dogs in the conference on the Gold Side. Willowbrook and Downers Grove South on the Silver Side. My two surprise teams in the WSC are Morton and Lyons Township who look to shock some people. OPRF, York, DGN are my three challenger teams. But York looks better than ever with Vezza at the helm along with his offensive weapons. DGN looks to surprise some people last season with a strong youth movement the spartans could give people trouble. Willowbrook and DGS both have two of the best QBs in the state of Illinois. Morton football from what I am hearing could shock some people. Lyons Township looks hungry to challenge for a title and will get more than 5 wins like last season. Glenbard West is Glenbard West along with a hard-hitting offense and playmaking defense. Hinsdale Central got great depth at QB along with young playmaking offensive line. Leyden, Proviso East, Proviso West look like it's going to tough year for all three. OPRF has the big boys, but the worry is on the offense skill player side. Hinsdale South could shock people but needs to win early and start shocking people if they have chance. Addison Trail got some playmakers but not a favorable schedule at all. OPRF to me needs that big shocker of a win against Fenwick.
