Luke Dato how was your junior season?
I thought it went well. Played safety for the first time in high school and felt really comfortable as a junior. Started 5 games playing behind a talented senior safety. Obviously not pleased with a 3-6 record but hopeful to get back to work in the offseason and have a great senior year.
What should college coaches know about you?
I consider myself a very coachable kid with a great mentality to work everyday. I think I bring a lot of versatility to the table. I work at everything 110% whether it’s in the classroom or on the field.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My effort and athleticism for sure. There isn’t a play where I don’t give it my all and I feel like I can fly around the field and make plays.
What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?
I plan to focus on the weight room and really become a dominant player with confidence in my strength.
What do you like about playing on the defense?
I love the brotherhood playing defense creates. You go to battle with these guys and being able to a make a great hit or create a takeaway is unlike anything else on a football field.
What excites you most about your upcoming senior season? Being able to play with childhood friends and play with confidence. Playing more aggressively as a senior and making more plays at the end of the day.
