Durlin Richardson how has your offseason been so far?

So far, this offseason has been a really big time for me to reflect back on what I did good and bad last season. It was also a good time for me to get stronger and faster.

How was your junior season?

My junior season was good for myself. While we did not have the best season as a team, I know that judging my skill level from the beginning of the season to the end of the season I improved a lot especially for it only being my first season.

What does football mean to you?

Football to me is about family and respecting the people not only on your team but also the opponent and the game itself. Football is about hard work and determination and knowing that you don’t have to be the biggest guy, but you do need to be able to put in the work that others aren’t.

What should college coaches know about you?

Coaches should know that I’m willing to listen and learn when I’m wrong. That I will not cocky or over confident and will get up and get back in the game even when I’ve been beat. They should also know that I have only played one year so far of high school football.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I would say that my strongest trait on the football field is my ability to recognize what I did wrong after a bad play. Physically my best trait would be my size and my ability to pick up on new techniques.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

I like playing in the trenches because I get to push people around and show that I won’t be dominated. I can use my size to my advantage.

What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?

This off-season I have really focused on my fundamentals like footwork, stance, hand placement, etc.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

My goal for this upcoming season is to not give up and not let the defender get passed me and if they do then I will get up learn from what I did wrong and not let it happen again.

How does West Carroll look for the upcoming season?

I think we are looking better and better every day with new coaching staff and some upcoming players I think we will be set up for a better season.

Who else on West Carroll should be on the lookout for this upcoming season?

The player that comes to my mind would be Aden Wiest a defensive tackle from the class of 2025.
