Joel Williams Warren Township WR/DB Class of 2022 5'6 155

Joel Williams how was your Spring Season? Our spring season was amazing. We were very grateful to even have a season after all we have been through. As a team, coaching staff and program, we never stopped working on and off the field to prepare ourselves for whatever the unknown future had in-store. Stayed ready so we didn’t have to get ready. And when the time came to show up we showed out with a 6-0 season Capitalized on every opportunity and never took anything for granted What does football mean to you? The bonds and relationships I have established in the brotherhood of the players and even the coaches has giving true definition to what football means to me. Football is not just a game, especially at Warren Township High School. It’s a Culture of Relentless effort, +2 everything on and off the field, and more importantly building great character as young men. I love football because of what it has built and instilled in me as a student athlete. Not just as a student athlete, but as a servant-leader and a man striving to be the best version of me. What should college coaches know about you? That I am relentless in everything that I do. Being persistent to better myself and my peers. I am the type of captain that pushes my team to be the best they can be individually and collectively. I am the one who pulls guys aside and helps them by being personable and encouraging. Giving them the confidence to do the task at hand great. That’s who I am and that will never change. I am someone who rejoices in the hard times and tough battles, not because of how it feels or what it looks like but because of what it produces in me: Perseverance, Character, and Hope. What do you feels is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the field is being a route general. It is an art form. When I run my routes I am able to put all the pressure on the defense. I do this by executing my routes with these tools. Recognizing what coverage the defense is in, knowing where I need to be and how to get there, being precise in every step that I take and move that I make and also being time efficient for the QB results in doing what I do best… Winning. How good can this Warren Township team be for the upcoming season? That’s the question right there. In all honesty I believe we will be the best team in the state of Illinois. Our work ethic as program is like no other. Our knowledge of the game, strength, speed, agility and athleticism is second to none. Putting that together with the best coaching staff, support, and fans, we won’t be denied our state title. Staying true to the culture that Warren and it’s attendees have built, along with the new additions we have, and overall dominating forces on both sides of the ball, we won’t be stopped.
