By: Peter "Coach Big Pete" Leinweber

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Christian Bentancur how was your sophomore season? It was pretty good. I ended the season with around 1,200 yards, and 14 touchdowns. As a team, we played together, but barely missed the playoffs going 4-5 in the tough Eastern Suburban Catholic Conference where there is no easy games. Hopefully next year we can get better individually and as a team and hopefully make a run for the state title. What does football mean to you? Football is a passion and a big part of my life. Ever since I was really young, football was there. I have played football all my life and will continue to play it as long as I can to hopefully play Power 5 division 1 football, and living my dream of being a college athlete. What should college coaches know about you? Colleges coaches should know that I’m a really outgoing and determined person that will do whatever it takes and never quit on my teammates or the team. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel like my biggest trait is my mix of size and speed. Also, since I’ve been playing so long I know the game and use it to my advantage. What is your favorite route to run? My favorite route to run is the fade in the end zone, because I love the 1 on 1 jump ball. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? The main part of my game that I’m going to work on is my speed, because speed kills. What goals do you have for yourself next season? My goals for next season is to dominate both sides of the ball instead of just offense, and also to start getting a few offers.
