Mitch Larkin Palatine Linebacker 6'0 200 Class of 2022
Mitch Larkin how was your 2019 season? My 2019 season was a great year. As a team we had a very tough schedule against some really good teams, but PHS battled hard to finish close to .500. Great group. I was happy with my play and progress from Game 1 to the end of the year. Reading defenses and getting off the blocks really improved. Work ahead. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know I am a leader and an athlete. My toughness, speed and nose for the football will be there everyday. I love the work and am very coachable. What do you like about playing linebacker? I love the position, played it since I was 5. I get to play the entire field and have a chance to compete every play. Love being in the middle of the action every play What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My combination of speed and strength. I feel like I can play the run and pass. Really worked hard on my tackling and getting off blockers. My coaches are great, teaching me technique and positioning. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? This off-season has been awesome. I been working everyday at TNT Ignite with Tom Nelson, Working on my speed, agility and football strength. Have played a lot of 7v7 at PHS and other tourneys. I put on 15lbs and I Was able to go to several showcases to compete with great talent. Loved the invite only Stack Sports showcase last weekend where I ranked #8 overall. Gives me the confidence to have a breakout season. Will continue to work hard till the season comes.
