Jackson McCarey New Trier ATH Class of 2024 6'0 175
Jackson McCarey how was your first game back? Euphoric. Nothing has ever compared to a Friday night varsity football game under the lights. The roar of the crowd, the hum of the music, and having all your teammates behind your back. Truly an amazing experience. What does it mean to you to have such a big game against Lyons Township? Every teams goal is to have a stellar opening game. We did just that. To come out against a great program like LTHS in that fashion is a great momentum starter for the rest of the season. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My speed. What should college coaches know about you? I work hard on and off the field. I am a multi sport athlete and I work hard to keep my grades up. I’m very focused on whatever I do. I may not be the loudest but when the time comes I will be the spark plug and change the pace of the game. I am a disrupter. How good can this team New Trier be this season? We have an outstanding quarterback in Cremascoli, an amazing WR in Kirkpatrick, my linemen open up holes for me and Cummings. We have beasts on our defense, and we have the best coaching. We are going to bring it every week, and our goal is to still be playing by mid November. Don’t be surprised to see New Trier as the last team standing.
