Gabe Krahn Mt. Carmel OL Class of 2021 6'3 280
Gabe Krahn how was your 2019 season? Something to remember honestly, no other way i would want it to end. The team & I since the beginning knew what we wanted but we took it game by game. We accomplished what we’ve been dreaming since freshmen year. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, i grew up with it ever since i came in the country from Brazil. It was like my first love, its only brought nothing but blessings & good in my life. To be in the position i am today, i thank football & my father. What would you like college coaches to know about you? I want the coaches to know im working on my material everyday to be where i wanna be in the next 4 years after high school, Thats in the books & on the field/gym. Not having this season only gave me motivation & more time to get stronger & faster on the field, i have been taking advantage of the time that was given us & I’m going to keep using that time to better myself. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the footbal field? I think my strongest trait is run block & also my footwork. I use to play basketball a lot when i was younger & i would always be complimented on my footwork for someone my size. What do you like about playing on the line? That it gets intense & a lot of competition that has to do with strength. I also love it because we never get the recognition or stats like every other position but we make sure the qb doesn’t get hurt or the ball gets loose & the ball get thrown. I love the competition that comes with it. What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season? My goal is to play at my best ability so the team & i can be in the same position as we were last year, remain undefeated & make IHSA history
