Nolan Baudo how was your junior season? My junior season was a great learning experience. I was able to play and learn from some of the best players in the state and am super grateful for everything they taught me about how to be a leader and what it takes to make a deep playoff run. What does football mean to you? Football is everything to me. It’s always been my escape from whatever’s going on whether that be stress from school or other things. Football is such a fun sport that can teach you so many life lessons if you let it. What should college coaches know about you? I think the most important thing that college coaches should know about me is that I’m a leader. I don’t change my body language on the field no matter the score and give 100% effort every snap. I consider myself a hard worker on and off the field and love learning every single chance that I get. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I think my strongest trait is the ability to understand the game. I pride myself in being able to know the defense and notice how they’re playing us and adjust based on what they’re doing. Another big factor that plays into my game is versatility. I can play most spots on the field which sets me up for a lot of opportunities to impact the game in different ways. What goals do you have for yourself this season? First and foremost, I want to bring the first state championship to Marist. That’s been our goal as a team since we stepped foot in the building and that hasn’t changed. Personally, I want to have 10+ touchdowns and 1,200 all-purpose yards. What game are you looking most forward to this upcoming season? I’ve had Brother Rice, Mt. Carmel and Loyola all circled on my calendar since we lost to them last year. Every time we play them it’s always a great game so I’m looking forward to bouncing back this year.
