Corey Rashad Marist Athlete Class of 2023 5'8 170

Corey Rashad how was your junior season? My junior season was great. I played some great football and made a lot of great memories along the way. It didn’t end how we wanted it to but looking back, it was probably one of my favorite seasons ever. What was one of your favorite memories last season? My favorite memory would probably be from Week 3 against Nazareth at home when I got a sack on the goal line. Hearing the roar of the crowd after that play was the best feeling ever. Honestly, every Friday night at home was special to me. There’s nothing like it. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I’m an exceptional student. I put in the work on and off the field. My work ethic is second to none. I’m very passionate about the game of football and I’ll bring 100% effort to the table, with everything I do. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Ultimately, I just play with a lot of heart and that’s my strongest trait on the football field. Being on the smaller side, I know that I’ll be doubted and overlooked but when I step on the field I feel like a giant and I play like it too. That’s my overall mindset. What excites you the most about the upcoming season? I really look forward to being able to get back on the field with my brothers for the last time in high school and having another shot at a State Championship. I have pretty high expectations for my senior season and I can’t wait to put on a show! What game are you most looking forward to next season? Marist vs. Brother Rice is always a game to look forward to every year. It’s a historical rivalry and I love being apart of it. It’ll be fun handling business against “the guys down the street” next season.
