Damian Alsup how was your junior season?
It was fun but also was very rough due to the good teams we played last year. We didn’t win too much but I know we all left our hearts out on the field.
What does football mean to you?
It’s a way of life and great way to meet great friends and feel like part of a family
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
Feeling comfortable and confident in my ability to play. I’ve been playing football going on to my 8th year now and I’ve always played on a big stage. Especially being a starter on Varsity my sophomore year.
How was your wrestling season?
The season went very well for the regular season. Tournaments and state series could’ve been better. I had tough losses in most of those, but I did place at all tournaments I attended.
Who else on Manteno should I be on the lookout for this upcoming season?
Definitely Porter Chandler, Niko Akiyama, and Aidan Dotson. Those guys have been putting in the work in the off-season and they’re coming up.
What should college coaches know about you? I would want them to know that I know I’m undersized as a lineman and would be willing to play other positions wherever I was needed. Also, my favorite position to play is Place Kicking, I’ve been doing it since I was little, and I still got a boot on me.
