Demere Turner how was your Junior season? My junior season was very fun, I experienced varsity on a whole other level and found out I was capable of doing things I didn’t know I could do. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me, It’s like my peace. I played football since I was a kid and I knew that it was what I wanted to play growing up. What should college coaches know about you? I think college coaches should know I’m a very good kid, I listen well & I am easy to be coached. I just need to work on my attitude and it’s getting better. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I’m also a team player but all that goes into the attitude. I would say my strongest trait on the football field would be my speed. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? I would say my footwork so I can get better at my cuts while maintaining my speed while running. How does this Kankakee squad look for the Fall? I believe we will be good all over again. We just have to stay focused and work harder than we did this season so we can make it to state again but win this time. I believe we can do it if we stay focused and have fun. What should incoming freshmen know about Kankakee football? I think they should know that Kankakee football is like a family. We all work together as a team and will succeed as a team. Everything is done together here so the love is real. I also think that they should know if they work hard enough they can have a starting spot and could be a captain they just would have to want it more than others do. And it will show who wants it the most.
