Jake Metze how was your junior season?

My Junior Year taught me a lot of lessons on what it takes to win. I learned that individual success doesn’t always contribute to a great outcome. I experienced this firsthand and look to perfect my leadership skills throughout next year.

What does football mean to you?

Football means the world to me. I base my whole life and everything I do around the game and it means so much to me. I’ve only been playing since 8th grade, but I’ve fallen in love with it ever since. What was your favorite memory from last season?

My favorite memory from last year was beating Woodstock North on their homecoming and scoring 4 Touchdowns. Who is the funniest player in your locker room?

For sure the lineman. They got the best jokes and make it a great atmosphere. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

My strongest trait is definitely my speed and ability to turn up field. As well with my leadership and my vision of the field. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?

I am working on getting bigger, faster, and being more explosive to outwork my competition for my senior season. What would you like college coaches to know about you?

College coaches should know I can play multiple positions and will do whatever is best for the teams success. I have a great work ethic and take leadership very seriously. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

I try and set very high goals for myself, so I am never satisfied. A few goals I have for next season are 20 Touchdowns and 2,000 all-purpose yards. Also, to make the playoffs. How does Johnsburg look for the upcoming season?

We are looking solid for next year. We have a lot of hardworking guys who love the game. A few players to watch are WR Cade Piggott, RB Nick Lopresti, and QB Aj Bravieri.
