So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Nick Lopresti Johnsburg DB/ATH Class of 2023 5'8 165

Nick Loptresti how was your junior season? I had a pretty solid junior year. I had to sit out a few games due to injury but when I was able to play. I believe that I was a gamechanger on the field. What does football mean to you? Football has been a major part of my life. I started when I was in third grade and ever since then it has changed my life, so it means a lot to me. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I've really been working on my explosiveness for this next year. Playing running back I really need to be able to hit the hole hard and to do that you have to have good explosiveness and be able to make those cutbacks, so I've been working on to improve that. What excited you most about this upcoming season? Making a run for the playoffs and playing with my brothers one last time. These guys have been a big part of my life and I wouldn't want to play one more season with anyone else. What is one game that you are looking forward to the most this season? Our away game at Richmond-Burton. Have always been our cross-town rival and always a lot of energy at those games so I'm excited to play in that. What should college coaches know about you? I'm hardworking, disciplined, smart, a team player, and I'm always ready to go out on the field and make a big play. What goals do you have for yourself this season? 600 rushing yards, 5 touchdowns, no fumbles, 5 interceptions, be a leader on and off the field, and make the playoffs.
