Joey Scrivani Jacobs Athlete Class Of 2024 6'1 180

Joey Scrivani how has your offseason been going so far? Off-season has been going great, putting in a lot of work right now. I know as a program we have been working non stop to come back better than we were last year! How was your junior season? My junior season was great. I am disappointed in injury’s that caused me to miss practices and some games, but the games I was healthy for went very well. I am super proud of Jacobs team for how well we did through the ups and downs we had last season! What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. It means commitment, hard work and a bond you need with teammates to be great. This sport brings me happiness and I’ve learned a lot of valuable life lessons from this game.

What should college coaches know about you? I am a very hard worker. I wanna bring my teammates up with me and lead by example. I strive to outwork everyone and be the best possible version of myself on and off the field. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my vision. As a running back and linebacker I am able to watch holes form and open field and as a linebacker watch plays start to develop and my speed to the ball is something that is a natural instinct to go and make the play. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? My overall size and strength. Last season I felt undersized for my positions as far as my weight goes. I have put on about 10 pounds already and plan on putting on another 5-10 before season. How does Jacobs look for the upcoming season? Jacobs is looking great coming into this upcoming season. A lot of great players and athletes returning and everyone is working everyday to prepare for the season.

Who else on Jacobs is ready for a breakout season this fall? Matthew Shannon is a two-year starter for us at offensive guard. He has put in a lot of work and is very dedicated to having his breakout year. Other players like Grant Stec and Paulie Rudolph are ready for our senior year and a great season ahead of us.
