Xavier Martinez how was your junior season? My junior season went well. We went 7-4 I believe lost to st Charles north in the 2nd round of playoffs. How has your offseason been so far? It’s been good. I’ve been putting in work everyday making sure my team and I are ready by that first kickoff. Some of my teammates and I are also participating with Boom 7on7 team and that’s also been going well traveling around the country and what not What does football mean to you? Besides my family, footballs everything to me. Anytime I do anything I always find my way to thinking about football and the future I can have with football. I want to play in front of thousands of people and have a positive lasting impact on all those that I interact with.
What should college coaches know about you?
That I’m coachable and hardworking. No matter where they put me I’m going to give 110 percent every time to make sure I’m helping my team succeed.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My passion and my size. I’m willing to put my body on the line for any of teammates and I think that alone makes for some big plays to happen.
How is your Baseball season going so far? It could definitely be going better. Our record doesn’t show how talented of a team that we really are but with these upcoming games and playoffs we hope to shock the world and show that Hoffman Estates baseball is a topic to be talked about.
