Giovanni Pamfili how was your junior season? My junior season went well, I didn’t get the chance to start but I put in as much work as I could, of course there is also a lot of work I still have to do in the off season. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me, I started playing when I was in 5th grade and ever since then I’ve been a strong believer in “ball is life” and it was around when I was in 6th grade that I knew I wanted to play college football. What should college coaches know about you? I want college coaches to know that I am willing to put in the work. I may not be the strongest or the fastest right now, but I’ll do everything it takes to get me to a point where I can play at a high level. That mentality is what makes me a good football player, decent wrestler, a good cello player, and student overall. What do you like about playing in the trenches? The trenches don’t lie, they don’t sugar coat anything, if you mess up, the ball carrier gets tackled, I like that unforgivable quality. I also love the trust involved, everyone behind me believes in me to get my job done and I can trust them to do theirs. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Trust in my fellow teammates is by far my strongest quality, those men who go out on the field are my brothers and I will do anything it takes for them. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? I want to start and be able to protect my brothers, I want to get noticed by college coaches, but most importantly, I want to have fun, that’s why I started playing. Who is the funniest player on the Hinsdale Central team? The funniest player has to be Mark Ortiz, he’s hilarious and more importantly he can get serious when need be, he has perfect timing. Either him or Jack Mcgarry.
