David Smith Hillcrest OL Class Of 2024 6'3 296

David Smith how was your junior season?

My junior season went pretty well if say so myself, I evolved such much as a football player from my sophomore season with the help of my coaches and teammates.

What does football mean to you?

Football means home. No matter what I have going on in my life I could always grab a pair of cleats and leave reality for an hour or two.

What should college coaches know about you?

Colleges should know I’m a player that’s willing to do everything to help the team. Whether that’s changing my position, helping another player, or even cracking a joke when the team is down.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I feel my strongest trait on the football is my pass pro. It’s something I’ve struggled with my freshman season, now I capitalize off it.

What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?

This offseason I’m really working on everything, trying to better my game as a whole. However, if it’s one skill I’ve touched on the most this offseason it’s pulling.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

Some goals I have for myself this upcoming season is being an all-state football player, signing to a college, and being the best guard in my conference.

Who is one player on Hillcrest that is slated to have breakout season?

One player on Hillcrest that is slated to have breakout season is Jelon Willams, He’s by far one of the best linebackers I’ve ever played with. He’s a team leader and can get the job done wherever, from left tackle to outside linebacker.
