DJ Maloney Hersey OL 6'3 240 Class Of 2025

DJ Maloney how has your offseason been so far?

My Offseason has been great. Wrestling season went fantastic I went 13-2 and our varsity had one of the best teams in the state. I started lifting twice a day in the spring and throwing shot put and discus.

How was your sophomore season?

My sophomore season was great. I was able to have a lot of varsity playing time and started one game. It was a hard adjustment at first going from freshman football to varsity football and I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the season.

What does football mean to you?

Football means everything to me I have played tackle since I was 8 and all the sports I do now are to help me in football. My life revolves around football and school.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I push myself daily and I am very coachable. I understand instructions pretty well.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

My strongest trait is my effort. I will work hard every play to do my best whether it’s driving d tackle 15 yards or attempting to chase a running back upfield, I will continue to put all my effort into every play.

What do you like about playing in the trenches?

I like the aggressiveness and fun that is possible in the trenches. When the o line as a unit is doing well every single play is fun. On defensive line after some tackles for loss the aggression to make another is very exciting.

What part of your game are you working on in the offseason?

I worked mostly on strength and all-around athleticism. I Spent 1-2 hours a day lifting weights and an hour working on speed and agility. As well as wrestling to become tougher and stronger for football.

What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

My goal for myself this season is to get noticed whether its for O line or D line doesn’t matter I love both. I want to make an impact in every down I play.
