Dimitri Hritz Glenbard East Athlete Class of 2023 5'11 185

Dmitri Hritz how was your junior season? My junior season was very good, it was my first time playing with a lot of the people on my team, so I was able to build a brotherhood with them. Our team really worked well together and had that chemistry every team works for. Throughout my junior season I was really able to convert into that real football player and build the grit and focus I needed to try and keep my football career going. I had an injury in my season, but I didn’t let that stopped me and I was able to finish the season on the field where I’m supposed to be. What does football mean to you? Football is a lot more than a game. Football is a gift that many don’t get to experience. It’s a way I can free myself from everything in the world and just go and play and do something I love. Football is a common bond amongst my teammates and no matter where you come from it’s what we all love and no matter who you are, what color you are, what ethnicity you are it’s a game that we all work together to play as a family. Football to me isn’t about winning or losing it’s about what it does for me as a person and the forever bonds it helps me build. Football for me teaches me how to lead others and never look down on people based upon who they are. Football isn’t just a game it’s a big lesson that is a shame not everyone can get taught. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I will never give up until the time hits 0. That I will do anything in my power for our team to build that bond and then to win games. I will never give up on my team no matter how low we get. I will personally strive to get better and better every day and keep working to achieve my personal and team goals. I am a hard worker will my life dedicated to football and school and that I will try my hardest to find success on the field and very importantly in the classroom. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel as my stronger strength on the field is my leadership What do you like about playing running back? I like how running back is a well-rounded position, no matter if I’m running the ball, blocking, or going out for a pass I’m doing something to help my team out.

What goals do you have for yourself this season? Honesty, I don’t keep any specific goals all I want is to do what I know is my best and be a leader on my team to help influence my younger teammates into striving for their best.
