Cooper McKeag Geneseo Athlete Class Of 2024 6'2 190

Cooper McKeag, how was your junior season?

Overall, our season was successful, but we didn't achieve our goal. Personally, I made big strides from sophomore year. I stepped into various roles on both offense and defense. I have bigger goals for next year.

What has been your favorite memory of the season?

Winning our game against Galesburg. It was our second conference game of the season and beating a bigger school showed everyone that we were gonna compete. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?

I watch a lot of film and prepare for what I will see on the field. I give 100% effort for the entire game.

What should college coaches know about you?

I have a very strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the field. I'm coachable, willing to learn and will do anything that is asked of me from my team and my coaches. What is your favorite route to run?

A post route because I get open every time. How good can this Geneseo team be for the upcoming season?

We are ready for a deep playoff run. It will be our 2nd appearance in the playoffs since 2017. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?

My goal is to get bigger, stronger and faster and work on my route running. Who had a breakout season on Geneseo this season?

Our fullback, Drew Nelson. I feel he made the most of the opportunities he was given, and he played a key role in a lot of major plays.
