Nathan Van Witzenburg Crystal Lake South ATH Class of 2023 5'10 175
Nathan Van Witzenburg how was your Spring Season?Overall, it was very challenging. Our team never really seemed to gain traction and live up to what we knew we were capable of, and ultimately we found ourselves at the bottom of the conference. I think that this is a big motivator for us this year to not end up in the same place. What does football mean to you?I’ve been playing since I was 5 years old. Although I do play two other sports football has always been my favorite. It’s taught me many things and allowed to make life long friends. I’ve also been very fortunate to have incredible coaches over the years who have always pushed me to be the best. What should college coaches know about you?I am very dedicated in everything that I do including school. I am a hard worker and very knowledgeable on both sides of the ball. I’m a team player and am always willing to help my team be successful. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?I feel like my toughness is my strongest trait. It allows me to be able to block to protect my quarterback and also gives me the ability to break tackles. As well, this year it will allow me to make a difference on defense. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? On of my main goals is being the guy that the team can rely on to do my job and help us get to the top of the FVC. Also I’m hoping to be an impact player on both sides of the ball and be all conference again.
