Gavin Sarvis Burlington Central Athlete Class of 2022 6'3 195

Gavin Sarvis how was your season? It went well, I mainly progressed as a defensive player prior to the years before where I only specialized on offense, It helped me take my game to the next level. What does football mean to you? Football isn’t just a sport it’s a lifestyle, as I’ve grown up friends come and go but as group of friends that never leave is your teammates, your brothers. A team is a family and playing football has taught me to never take it for granted again like I did when I was younger. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my drive to win and get better, skill is very important in football but so is your drive and will to win. You can be very good but you also need to have a will to win if you want to be great. What should college coaches know about you? I’ll start with grades, I have a 3.45 GPA and I’m several AP classes, I have great size and athletic ability. I can make plays on both offense and defense. I also won the Fox Valley DPOY and was named 1st team All State. What schools have you talked to so far? My coach and I have talked to Butler, NIU, Purdue, Indiana, and NDSU. What was one of your favorite memories this season? One of my favorite memories this season was winning on senior night. We didn’t have the season we wanted but to end off our season with a win such as that really makes me miss being out there with the guys. What do incoming freshmen football players need to know about the Burlington Central football program? School comes first, enjoy playing while you can because you never know what can happen. Work hard and it will pay off. And lastly don’t play for yourself play for your team.
