So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Ethan McCarty Bradley-Bourbonnais Class of 2021 ATH 5'7 175

Ethan McCarty how was your 2019 season? The season was a very fun season even though we did not make playoffs. We were a couple plays short of making the playoffs. I had to deal with a couple injuries that kept me out parts of games. I feel like I could have made a bigger impact if I could stayed healthy. But all my teammates were supportive of me throughout those injuries during those games and I had a really good time with all of those teammates. I’ll for sure miss the season because of how much fun I had with my teammates and they all really meant a lot to me. What would you like college coaches to know about you? I want college coaches to know they will get a player who will work hard in the classroom and work hard on the field. I am a team player and I want the best for all my teammates and the staff. I leave it all out on the field. Football means a lot to me so I give it my all every weight room session, every practice, and every game. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel like my strongest trait is my confidence. I always believe in my teammates and myself every game. No matter who we play I always feel like we can pull through and get the win. I never shy away from contact or wanting the ball in a big situation in a game. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been trying to improve my strength to prevent getting injured like last season. I lift 5 days a week to make sure I build more and more muscle. I also am always trying to improve my speed to make sure I don’t get caught on big runs. Feelings on IHSA Spring Football? I miss playing in the fall so much but I am always looking at how my team and I can benefit from football getting moved to the spring. It gives me more time to get faster and stronger and make myself more of a complete player as well as my team. I have been taking this time to get extra work and just try to get better and better every single day.
