Jeremy Allaway Bishop McNamara Athlete/QB Class of 2023 5'9 175
Jeremy Allaway how was your junior season? It went pretty well. I started on defense all year at cornerback and was the only junior starter on a senior based team as well as being a big help on special teams. I also backed up our senior QB and had some great reps at QB. Whenever I got put in, I was able to showcase my speed and arm strength to get points on the board. We went to the third round of playoffs and unfortunately lost to the state champs (Wilmington) but overall, it was a pretty good season. I look forward to being QB1 this season. What does football mean to you? In my eyes football is the sheer joy of effort, hard work, grit, brotherhood, the willingness to get better, finding out your abilities, exceeding your potential and the life lessons that come along with the game. What should college coaches know about you? The thing that I want college coaches to know about me is that I am hard working and give lots of effort in everything I do. I am very coachable, and I will not stop practicing something until I get it to perfection. I don't let my players hang their heads and I push my players to their potential. I am willing to do anything for my team if that's what it comes down to. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field? I feel that my strongest trait on the field is my athleticism, I say this because I am a very mobile quarterback and I'm quick through the holes and can juke opponents out. I can place the ball really well and zip it in there, as well as making the right reads. What goals do you have for yourself this season? My goals for my team and I are to have a strong connection and bond and to win a state championship. My personal goals are to pass for at least 1000 yards and to rush for 1000+ yards and for my team to go 7-2 in the regular season. Who on Bishop McNamara is ready for a breakout season? I would have to say all the seniors because this is the moment, we've all been waiting for along with a few underclassmen.
