Dionte Thigpen Andrew WR/ATH Class Of 2025 6'3 155

Dionte Thigpen how was your sophomore season? My sophomore season turned out good I played up on varsity the first few games and had the chance to play against higher skill level and competitiveness. Then played JV the rest of the season but it’s a blessing to play with a good team and program. I look to improve a lot throughout this offseason to help out the team. What does football mean to you?

Football means a lot to me, once I started playing when I was younger, I fell in love with the game. All the relationships and family I gained made me love the game even more. Football makes you push yourself past your own limits and builds character that’s why I love it. What should college coaches know about you? I think that college should know that I will work hard on and off the field and also very coachable. I want to make any team, I am on stronger side, and I can adjust to any offense.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My strongest trait on the football field is going up to get 50/50 balls and being a tall and fast receiver. I practiced it so many times it feels like a second nature to me. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? This off-season I have been working on my route running and release off of the line. Also I have been working on my speed and strength in the weight room to be a more stronger and physical receiver. What does it mean to you being a multi-sport athlete? Being a multi-sport athlete means a lot to me because I love all the sports I play and the relationships you make with the people playing. It builds my character, seeing all the different competition and skill level in sports I play is pretty cool too and drives me to be a better athlete.

What goals do you have for yourself upcoming season? Goals I have for myself this upcoming season is improving and being better than I were last season and have a breakout year. Another goal is being an all-conference player. I want to make it further in playoffs then we did last year as a team and improve to win a state championship.
