Tommy Diamond Geneva Linebacker Class of 2024 6'3 210
Tommy Diamond how was your first week back on the field? It was amazing. Nothing compares to Friday night lights, and I just felt blessed to be back out there. What does football mean to you? Football is a place where I get to have fun and not worry about anything else going on. I get to have a good time with my friends and also play the game I love. What should college coaches know about you? I have a great feel for the game of football. I can feel what is about to happen or what the offense is trying to do. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I don’t take any plays off. I try to make an impact on every play no matter what. What do you like about playing linebacker? I get to go out there and be a dog. At linebacker you have to be versatile. You have to be able to fill run lanes and be physical with lineman one play and then next play you drop back into coverage like a DB. I like being able to do both. What goals do you have for yourself the rest of the season? A big team goal is to make playoffs this year. Some personal goals I made in December for this season is to be All-Conference and All-State honorable mention.
