Gaetano Carbonara Montini QB Class Of 2025 5'11 185
Gaetano Carbonara welcome back, how is your season going so far? The season has been great so far! The team as a whole look amazing and bought in with everything we do. We are 4-0 so far to start off the year, but we know we still have a lot to do in order to reach our goals. What is the excitement level with this team? We are a determined group of individuals that love the feeling of being able to compete with each other on friday nights. The pregame experience and practice with this team has been unbelievable. You can really feel the energy in the locker room every day and that helps a program succeed mentally.
Who is having a breakout season on Montini this year? This team as whole has had a breakout year, but players that are really standing out this year are WRs Santino Florio, Jojo James, and George Asay. Our RB Alex Marre has been a name to watch for since last year. And so far, this entire defense has been something to watch out for. Guys like DB Nick Irion, Max Bell, Sean Hubeny, and Isaac Alexander have been studs so far as well as Safety Vince Irion. Our defensive line and LBs have been stuffing the run. It’s been fun to watch so far.
What goals do you have for yourself rest of the season? My goals are to help lead this team back to the playoffs and reach the state title game. A goal like that can only be accomplished if we all do our job and keep creating these bonds and chemistry between each other. Any funny Coach Bu stories? Coach Bu has been awesome this year! He’s always going to be hard on us, but he always jokes with us. All I can say is Coach would rather be dead then red! Only true broncos would understand!
What part of your game do you feel you grew the strongest in? I think that I grew the most in staying poise in the pocket and being able to adjust to the speed of varsity football. I have taken some hits this year while throwing and I have learned to stay calm in the pocket.
