So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell
Welcome back Zion Nix, how was your junior season?
My junior season was full of ups and downs. I went from being told that I was going to play to barely playing. I took full advantage of my opportunities when they were presented to me. After the football season I transferred to De La Salle and now I’m ready to go into my senior season leaving everything on the field.
What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?During the offseason I have been working on catching in heavy coverage, protecting the football, and getting faster. I was told from my old coaches that my speed is not where it needs to be so that’s what I been working on the most. What schools have you been talking to so far?No schools just yet but I’ve been getting camp invites. So hopefully these camps can help me get recognized and get my name out there. What camps are looking to go to this summer?I’ve gotten invited to the college prospect showcase and a couple different school have invited me to this camp that is being held in Waukegan. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season? For this upcoming season I want to lead the team to a championship ring. This season is not just about me it’s about me building a lifelong bond with my new teammates as we achieve great success this upcoming season.
Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting
