Antonio Tablante how was your junior season?
My junior season was great. Our team went to the playoffs. Overall, it was a great learning experience and it pushed me to my limits physically and mentally.
What does football mean to you?
Football is everything to me. I’ve played since I was 6 years old and have grown to love the game all my life.
What should college coaches know about you?
I am truly dedicated to this sport. I am a very hard worker and am willing to play at the next level with any chance I get.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My strongest trait would be leadership, I’m always there to keep my teammates heads up and locked in during game time. Another trait I possess would be to stay calm under pressure especially during big or close games.
What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?
A part of my game I have been working on during this offseason is my speed and explosiveness. I study my own film all the time and feel that that is a down factor I need to work on for this coming season.
How does Sterling look for the upcoming season?
As a team, from my perspective I think we will be a solid team just like the past years as long as we keep grinding on and off the field. We’re looking to go further in the playoffs this year, but it first starts by taking it game by game. Sterling has made the playoffs 21 times two state semifinals appearances in 5A.
