Michael Weaver St. Charles East WR/DB Class of 2022 6'1 180
HUDL

Michael Weaver how has your first 4 weeks been so far?
The first 4 weeks have been tough. It's great to be back on the field on Friday nights and have fans back in the stands, but we have started 1-3. We've been making lots of self-inflicted errors and we believe if we can fix those we can turn the season around and flip our record through the last 5 weeks.
What does Football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. The game has taught me so many things I can take later on in life after football. It is also my favorite thing to do. There is nothing like running out onto that field on a Friday night with your best friends working towards one goal.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel my strongest trait on the field is my understanding of the game. Playing both ways helps me understand what a DB is trying to do while I'm on offense and what a WR is trying to do when I'm on defense.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I'm a team first guy and will do anything I can to help us win. I work hard everyday in practice, weightroom, or games to improve consistently. I hold myself to high standards and keep myself accountable to those standards.
What game excites you the most in these upcoming games of the season?
The most exciting game every season is playing our crosstown rivals, St. Charles North. They beat us pretty bad last year and we're ready to come out this year and win back the crosstown trophy.
Who else on St. Charles East should I keep an eye out for?
This is a tough question because so many guys are playing well. Mason Tousignant has been having a huge season playing receiver and corner. Ty Risberg has been big on both sides of the line. Defensively both Gavin Rabe and Ben Deetjen have been making plays all over the field. Blake Schuette and Trent Matejko are both big playmakers working back from injuries. Then, we obviously have our guys in Kelton McCaslin and Nathan Hayes both going to NDSU.
What goals do you have for yourself the rest of the season?
My goal for the rest of the season is to do anything I can to help the team turn the season around.
