So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Charlie Gilmore Woodstock WR/DB/ATH Class Of 2024 5'10 150

Charlie Gilmore how was your junior season? The season didn’t go the way I wanted it to, wasn’t too happy about my numbers when the season ended, but we’re learning from our mistakes and growing as a program so that we achieve our goals next season. What does football mean to you? I am very passionate about football, and It’s become a bigger part of my life throughout these last 3 years. What should college coaches know about you? I’ve worked hard to get to where I am right now, I come to compete, and I have high football IQ.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been working on contested catching for DB’s that lineup against me who may be stronger and taller than me. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Definitely my route running and my composure. How does Woodstock look for the upcoming season? I have high hopes for our team, we have 2 very good QBs competing for the varsity spot along with most of our offense returning.

What goals do you have for yourself this season? I feel I still need to prove to everyone that I’m a top player in the conference, and as a team, I want to make the playoffs this year.
