Matthew Hagy how was your season?
I thought it went really well, obviously not the way we wanted it to end but I’m just happy to play with the people. I got to play with and I’m proud of all the work everyone put in all season long to get to where we were.
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me. I’ve had so many new relationships in football that I wouldn’t take over anything in the world. It’s taught me so many lessons that i could you use in life so I’m so glad I have the opportunities that I have with football.
What schools have you been talking to so far?
Illinois college and Millikan.
What should college coaches know about you?
I have a lot of heart and I am willing to do anything to help a team win. I am always willing to work hard and be a good teammate.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I think it’s leadership when it comes to the team, and my best skill is probably taking off and using my legs when i need to.
Who on Vandalia had a breakout season?
I would say my running back Eric McKinney and my receivers Andrew Kelly and Preston Nestrick.
What do you like about playing QB? My favorite thing has to be to get to lead the team and everyone counting on you. When something bad happens I know they have my back and I have theirs. I also like making plays and I get to make as many plays as I can to help my team to win or put us in the best scenario to win.
