Tyler Nichols Morton Athlete Class Of 2024 6'4 210
Tyler Nichols how was your junior season? Overall, it was successful my goal going in was to make a name for myself because I know what I’m capable of doing and wanted everyone else to know. It was nerve racking at first becoming a starter in both positions, but I stepped up and showed out. Did so good they made me all-conference. How has your offseason been so far? We are making baby steps as a team to come together a lot of players last year we’re seniors and our junior class isn’t as much, so we been connecting with the young class. As for myself I been staying active in track to help better myself. What does football mean to you? Football is way of life for me. I was once over weight and basketball didn’t love me back so I tried football. Right away I knew there was a spot for me and I felt welcomed by everyone. The vibes I get from it is unmatched and suiting up with the pads and helmet add to the excitement.
What schools have you been talking to so far? Minnesota State University Moorhead - I went on a junior day there my plan is to go to more prospect camps. What should college coaches know about you? That I’m a hard worker and put it all on the line for my team. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Effort... I know that’s the one thing on the field I can control. Coaches can move me around, and I play different positions and I play smart and technical while also being aggressive. How does Morton look for the upcoming season? We look good coming together as a team and ready to polish everything this summer.
Who is the funniest coach on the Morton staff?
Our coach Duarte.
Who on Morton is ready for breakout season this Fall? Jayden Gonzalez a hard-working sophomore.
