Burke Wilkin how was your sophomore season? Sophomore season was without a doubt one of the most memorable years I’ll ever have playing football, and I can’t wait to run it back with all my great teammates and coaches! What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me, and I’m addicted to the game and can’t picture my future without it. Favorite memory of last season? My favorite memory last season has to be beating Rochester in the semi final to go to state, that is something I will never forget! What excites you the most about this upcoming season? The amount of potential we have as a team going into next season is for sure what excites me the most. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I have been working on getting as explosive as I can that way I can explode off the line and do my best to dominate the man in front of me every play. What do you like about playing in the trenches? My favorite part about the trenches is definitely the brotherhood and trust you build with the guy to the left or right of you, and obviously getting to have the opportunity to hit someone as hard as you can every single play. What goals do you have for your junior season? The #1 goal is always to win state but as an individual. I aim to get plenty of film and better my chances at playing at the next level.
