Will Beaman how has your offseason been so far? My offseason has been great so far this winter. I was attending Acceleration Sports Training to work on my speed, power and agility and this spring. I tried out lacrosse and have been loving it so far. Joining a new team and learning a new sport. How was your sophomore season? My sophomore season was great! I started during the summer with the varsity team and throughout the summer learned a lot from them taking that onto the sophomore football team. I led the team in touchdowns and yards and ended up getting pulled up to the varsity roster for the last 3 games of the regular season. I was placed on all of the special teams where I ended up making a couple tackles and plays on the kickoff team and got the chance to learn every defensive position in practice, and learned how the Neuqua Valley defense works as a whole from every angle of the ball.
What should college coaches know about you?
I would like for college coaches to know I am a player who loves to see not just myself, but my teammates succeed in every aspect of football and in school. I am willing to work as hard as it takes to make not only myself but everyone else on the field a better player. Will do anything and play any position that they see that best fits me and put me where I can make the biggest impact.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
Some goals I have for myself this season is to help my team advance further in the playoffs than we have before, and to make the starting roster and get more recognition about myself as a player this season. Let college coaches know I am willing to compete with the best and work the hardest I can do so.
How has your Lacrosse season been so far?
The season has been great our team had done very well and have beat all of the odds against us from the pre-season predictions. I managed to learn a whole new sport and excel in doing so, and in the last couple months showing I can compete as a first-year player against other players who have been playing the sport for many years.
What game are you most excited for this upcoming season? I am most excited to see where the Wildcats are as a team are knowing we lost many key components due to them graduating, and seeing who is willing to compete to fill their spots and see if we can keep the same reputation as the Neuqua Valley Wildcats as we have in the past.
