Chris McCormack how has your season been so far? So sorry about the late message. Football got in the way for a little. The season has been pretty good so far! I’ve been able to settle in as the QB, but my team has really helped me take this role. They all have my back and consistently do their jobs which makes it easy for me to get the chance to do mine What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. I think it’s really shaped who I am and has provided me with strong relationships and skills that I will have for a lifetime. What did mean to you to get that big time win last night? It meant the world to me. You only get 1 big crosstown game every year and as a senior it’s your last chance to get that trophy. Seeing all of the work our team had put in throughout the offseason at those 6am lifts or 4-hour summer practices pay off was so cool to see. Couldn’t be prouder of them and so happy we got to take the trophy home What should college coaches know about you? I think they should know that I’m a hard worker and I'll always give my best What do you like about playing QB? I think I just like how it uses lots of skills all in one. I get to be an athlete on the field and have a ton of fun doing it. I also get to think and learn from different types of defenses and coverages. But most importantly it gives me a chance to make close relationships with my o-line and wide relievers and it builds so many opportunities on and off the field Who else on Naperville Central is having a breakout season? I think there are a bunch of guys having great seasons right now. Chris Bern is absolutely killing it when he gets his hands on the ball. Tyler Dodd has been running like a mad man and is a great weapon. I think defensively too guys like John Stout, Jack Lecrone, Gavin wade and Gavin Bohan have been making plays consistently and our entire defense has been tough as nails throughout this season.
