So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Quince Shearer Morgan Park Class Of 2025 ATH 5'9 175

Quince Shearer how was your sophomore season? I would say my sophomore season went great even though we fell short in the state playoffs. I would feel like that was the start to my breakout season. Throughout the season I was getting better each week we played a game, which led me to have the stat line I ended up with. This season I feel like I played a really big role on the team and that kept me motivated knowing my teammates trusted me to make plays when needed. What does football mean to you? Football is more than a game to me, it’s a place where I can step into my comfort zone and be me. Football is like home to me that’s why I love it so much and feel so free when I’m playing. What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know that I’m very dedicated to work. I want to improve myself by any means necessary and that I love to compete. They should know that I’m an ATH I can play anywhere on the field!

What part of your game have your been working on in the offseason? I have been working on my press man and off man techniques. I have been working on getting faster and have great feet. I have been working on getting in and out of my breaks and having a smooth transition. What goals do you have for yourself this season? My main goal is to get better overall. I want to win a state football championship this season as well getting on the all state defensive of the year list. My goal this season is to leave a mark on everybody and stop being the underdog! My goal is to just be better than last season.

What game are you most excited for this upcoming season? Week 2 vs Mt. Carmel
