Tommy Delaney how was your junior season?
My junior season went pretty well, I believe I took very big steps in playing the quarterback position and improved very much throughout the season as I got more comfortable. I’d like to say I set myself up to really shine for my upcoming season season.
What does football mean to you?
Football is honestly everything to me, this past season I’ve really realized how much I love football and how much it means to me. Throughout my sophomore season when I wasn’t playing much, I felt like I wasn’t the same, but with the bond of my team this last season it really feels like we’ve become a family. I don’t know what I would do without those guys and without this sport.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’d like college coaches to know that I am a very hardworking player and that I will be able to fit a leadership role on their team. I would also like them to know that I will be 100% committed to what they need from me.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I am very good at extending plays with my legs while also keeping my eyes down field for open receivers. I also have very good short pass accuracy and good decision making with the ball.
How does Maine West look for the upcoming season?
Being above .500 last season and having majority of our starters returning I am very confident in ourselves next year.
What goals do you have for yourself this season? My goals for this season is continuing my leadership on the team, going all conference, making playoffs and just playing my best for the team.
