AJ Carlson how was your junior season?
It was one i’ll never forget. It’s a team i’ll forever call family. We worked extremely hard, got together a lot, got the work in and got through at 12-1 season losing in semifinals. The coaches as well feel like family and going through this off season into senior it feels great to play one last season with this program. I grew a lot as a player this junior year and still driving to do my best this senior year.
What schools have you talked to so far?
Haven’t been super close with many schools, but so far have slightly talked to Wyoming and ball state. Doing my best to reach out to many more and stay in contact with Wyoming and Ball state.
What should college coaches know about you?
I’m a team player, and a great listener. When a coach has something to say. I’m all in to listen and learn. I also love getting close with coaches and teammates to feel like family. When a team mate has something to say i’m there to listen and i’m there to provide feedback to them too. I am also very hyper, I love hitting the gym, getting hyped and striving to do better. Once a goal is in mind, i’ll never stop till it happens. If something’s needs to be fixed, ill be there 24/7 till it gets fixed. I’m also a well rounded player. Where ever you need me, i’ll play. My senior season we are lacking some players, therefore i’m playing tight end, defensive end, and long snapper. I am here to win and help my team.
What do you fill is your strongest trait on the football field?
Being a team player and as well running through people. I love to keep my teammates heads up and to keep the winning mentality.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
Be the best I can be, help my team to state, and get college looks.
How does Lemont look for the upcoming season? Winning state, our coaches and new head coach (Willie Hayes) are doing their best to mentally prepare us and make us physically stronger. I’ve never seen coaches like them who are so determined for this team and won’t give up, and us as players won’t let them down.
