Speaking With Huntley WR Jacob Witt Class Of 2024

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jacob Witt Huntley Class Of 2024 WR 6'2 180

Jacob Witt how was your junior season? It was a good experience. It was my first time playing a varsity sport and it was everything I expected it to be. Our team also won conference which was awesome. What does football mean to you? Football means everything to me. I’ve learned so many lessons from football that have shaped me into the man I am today. What should college coaches know about you? Not only do I put effort into organized team activities, but I work on my skills and fitness on my own to be better. This includes drilling with my teammates at the park. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been doing jugs with my dad to work on catching the ball, I do track for my school to get faster, before school we also have offseason lifts for football 4 days a week, and I am on a 7on7 team. What is your favorite route to run? I would have to say either a fade or a post because I can use my size to my advantage on those routes. How does Huntley look for the upcoming season? We have a lot of great guys coming back. And we have a lot of chemistry since we have been playing together for so long and that chemistry will only get better when we go to other schools for scrimmages over the summer. So I’d say we are going to have another great season. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel my strongest trait on the field is using my size to my advantage and being able to make catches in traffic or with the DB by my side.
