Delane Hammock Jr. Glenbard North Athlete 6'0 180 Class of 2023

Delane Hammock Jr how was your junior season? My junior season was definitely one to remember, as someone who didn’t see the field as much, I’ve learned and progressed so much more over the offseason. Our team had a great playoff run and I’m glad to be able to say that I was a part of the team, but senior year will definitely be one for the books. With strong offensive weapons like Justin Bland (QB) Zamari Robinson (WR) and Damarion Elliston (RB) and myself along with Johnnie Robertson (WR) but our defense is looking unbelievable scary and impenetrable. We have David Petty who’s a beast at any position on the field and Zamari and I at defensive backs along with Jimmy Cooney (LB). I will be remembered for my mark senior year, and I can show you better than I can tell you! What does football mean to you? Football to me is much more than the competition factor, I’ve built lifelong friendships with my brothers on my team and the thrill of going to war with my brothers on my side is an unbelievable feeling. Football is a part of me now! What should college coaches know about you? College coaches should know how determined and hardworking I am. I will never be the tallest, the fastest, or biggest kid out there, but there will never be anyone on the same field as me who works harder than me. I will never be outworked. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My ability to slow down and analyze a play as it’s happening, and my quick reaction speed What schools have you been talking to so far? I’ve been conversations with coaches from Loras College and Taylor university and recently met with coaches from Central Michigan, Upper Iowa, Grand Valley State and Elmhurst College. What goals do you have for yourself this season? I want to show everyone what I can do, I’ve never been given the chance to show my ability. I want my respect; I’m going for the state title and all-state.
