Speaking With Cumberland OL Hunter Kemper Class Of 2024

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Hunter Kemper Cumberland OL/DT Class Of 2024 5'10 175

Hunter Kemper how was your junior season? We had a great season, we made it to the 2nd round but we fell short to a great Greenfield/Northwestern team. But we accomplished all of our goals like win conference and make it past the first round. What does football mean to you? Football is a game that has helped me grow and learn as a person. It teaches you a lot of life lessons and it has blessed me with lifelong friendships. What should college coaches know about you? That I am the hardest worker in the room, and I truly love the game and I feel I can help their team grow.

What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? With me being a little undersized, I feel like I am a great pulling guard, and I can lay down the hammer on that Defensive End. What do you like about playing in the trenches? That I am the “big brother” of the offense and I have to protect my brothers. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? My main focus has been overall strength, quickness, and footwork. How does Cumberland look for the upcoming season? I think we are going to shock a lot of people this year, we have a lot of last years starters coming back and we have some underclass that have great potential.

Who else on Cumberland should college coaches know about? Matthew Redfern he is a hard worker and always wants to get better, he is class of 2025. Allen Darling he is also one of the hardest workers, I know in the classroom and on the field!
