Mac Murzyn Brother Rice LB/DT/ATH Class Of 2024 6'1 215
What has been your favorite memory of the season?
My favorite memory of the season is a toss up between our double overtime win against JCA in Week 7, or our goal line stand against Marist to end the half and give us momentum going forward in the game in Week 9. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I feel that my strongest trait on the football field is my effort. You will never see me giving up on a play until the whistle is blown.
What should college coaches know about you?
I think that college coaches should know that I am a team player and I give 100% of effort 100% of the time. I also feel that no matter the size or the speed of the person on offense, I can handle it. Who is one player you went up against this season that impressed you?
The people I went up against this year I was most impressed with was the Northwestern commit Tackle for JCA, Loyola’s center, or Mt. Carmel’s big guards.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
I played middle linebacker my entire football career and Coach Quedenfeld saw a need to fill a spot on the defensive line. Despite not having much experience, I saw it as an opportunity to grow as a player and help the team. My favorite part about playing in the trenches was that I had the opportunity to play next to my grade school friend, Ryan Kenney. I had also had the opportunity to become close and learn a lot from Trey Pierce who took me under his wing and taught me more than I could ever know.
Who on Brother Rice had a breakout season?
I feel that Owen Lyons, Mike Bos, Nick Dorn, and Christian Pierce all had breakout seasons.
