Liam Rooney how is your season going so far? I would say our season is pretty good. We just came off a much-needed win last weekend and are focused on making the playoffs. We need to win one of our last two games which I am confident we can pull off. What does football mean to you? Football has just recently become a huge part of my life. I didn’t start playing until my freshman year, but the memories I have made in the short amount of time is unmatched to anything else. I love the competition and am hungry to learn more and get better. What should college coaches know about you? I am very coachable and always want to know what I can do better. I also have a strong work ethic and am determined to do anything it takes to help the team.
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
I love the physical aspect of the trenches. There’s so much adrenaline when you’re going against each other, and the rush that comes with breaking through to make the play.
What goals do you have for yourself rest of the season?
My main goal for myself is to continue improving each week and keep that discipline into the post season. End of the day, I just want to keep doing whatever it takes to help my team to win. Earning all-conference recognition is also on the top of my list.
Who on Benet is having a breakout season? Our defensive line has been playing well, the unit as a whole is strong and has been a consistent strength for our team throughout the season.
