Aidan Malone Aurora Christian DT/OL Class Of 2024 6'1 305

Aidan Malone how was your junior season? I would say it was definitely a challenging season. I had an ankle injury in the third play of my first game which put me out until week 4. My first game back I had to play at center which was unusual position for me but that’s what my team needed so I played there. I got first team all-conference and offensive MVP so overall with the challenges I faced. I would say it was still pretty successful. What does football mean to you? To me football is the only way I know how to make my parents and my uncle proud. They all have put so much time and effort into me and my career and I just want to show them that it is paying off.

What should college coaches know about you? They should know that I will never be out worked. I hate losing so I make sure it doesn’t happen alot. Wether conditioning or on scout team my goal is to prove that I’m the best. What do you like about playing in the trenches? The physicality of it. And being able to defeat the guy across from you. I also love how we really have the power to control a game, and best of all the trash talk and the fact that being in the trenches bring out that inner beast for real. That’s what I love about it. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I would say my ability to use my hands has always been a strong trait of mine, and also my ability to stand my ground even while taking on double teams, and being able to spilt them was also a strength. How does Aurora Christian look for the upcoming season? We have a lot of up incoming sophomores and juniors who will really affect our play this year. In my honest opinion we could go down to state with this lineup, we are definitely a team to watch out for this upcoming season.

What game are you most excited for this upcoming season? I personally can’t wait to play Wheaton Academy. They beat us last year because of lack of teamwork, but we will be ready for them this season and we don't plan on losing. Who on Aurora Christian is ready for a breakout season? I would say me along with Rudy Griffing, Lamari Hall and Owen Hampton are all of my teammates who will be worth the watch this season.
