Mateo Gonzalez how has your first two weeks been so far? These two weeks have been very challenging. Opening up against North was a challenge and then following up against an athletic Shepard team I believe we did the best we could and came out 1-1. What does football mean to you? Football means a lot to me. It’s a way to get some of my college paid for and saving my family money in the long run. What should college coaches know about you? Things they should know about me is that I will always put in the work no matter the struggle. As well as I put in the work in the classroom. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My physicality and length paired with my ball skills allows me to make big plays. What goals do you have for yourself the rest of the season? Some goals are to make to playoffs and go all the way. As well as becoming all-conference. What do you like about playing on defense? I love the adrenaline of tackling someone as well as the pressure that is put on the defense helps me perform better.
