Jayden Dominguez Peoria Heights Linebacker Class Of 2024 6'0 190
Jayden Dominguez how was your junior season? I started off rough but throughout the season I picked it up by practicing tackling drills, read steps, etc. By the end the season I was more than satisfied with my results as I won 1st team defensive all-conference. What does football mean to you? Football is a team sport to me as I made family over the years of playing. I really do enjoy our football program. Our head coach makes sure we are always on top of our game and makes sure we aren’t in any trouble helps us out when we need it. But football also helps me escape from the world, like it makes all my problems go away with ease. I really do enjoy the sport and making new family members. Really going to miss the players once I leave.
What should college coaches know about you? That I’m hard working. Very dedicated to this sport and always ready to learn. I love the opportunity I’m given to play this sport. What does 8-man football mean to you? 8-man football is less players on the field, but the same competitiveness as 11-man football. It may be harder to get a spot on a starting lineup, but you gotta step up and continue working your hardest to be in that position. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My leadership. I make sure to pick up my teammates if they don’t make a tackle, don’t catch the ball. I always tell them we are good. Bounce back next play and let’s get this win. My teammates sometime get in their heads, and I do too. As why i’m not perfect but the other leaders can read my body and tell me to keep going and never led down. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason?
My speed, conditioning, and my muscles. I’m trying to be in the best shape of my senior year, and I want to be fast. I’ve always been in the weight room as it’s a home for me, makes me feel like me. Listening to music and lifting, never better.
